New shot in the fight against shingles: vaccine trial seeks volunteers

Summary
This study is testing a new shingles vaccine to see if it is safe and how well it triggers an immune response. It will involve about 645 healthy adults aged 40 and older. Participants will receive two doses of either the new vaccine candidate, an already approved shingles vaccine, or a placebo, and their health will be monitored for up to two years.
