New nerve block technique aims to ease surgery pain without awkward positioning
NCT ID NCT07366853
Summary
This study is testing a new way to perform a sciatic nerve block, a type of numbing injection for foot and ankle surgery. The new method lets patients lie on their back, which is more comfortable than current techniques that require bending the knee. Researchers want to see if this approach is safe, works well to control pain, and is easier for doctors to perform.
