Summary

This study is testing an investigational oral medication called ML-007C-MA for adults hospitalized due to a sudden, severe worsening of schizophrenia symptoms (acute psychosis). The goal is to see if it is better than a placebo at reducing overall schizophrenia symptoms, as measured by standard psychiatric rating scales. About 300 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the study drug or a placebo while staying in the hospital.
