Blood-Based gel tested as a better way to fix root canals

NCT ID NCT07124962

Summary

This study tested if a new type of root canal treatment, which uses a healing gel made from a patient's own blood (platelet-rich plasma), works better than the standard procedure. It involved 41 adults with a painful, infected tooth. Researchers compared how much pain patients felt after each treatment and how well the bone around the tooth healed over six months.
