Scientists test futuristic RNA shot for diabetes control

Summary

This is a very early study to check if a new type of diabetes medicine is safe for people. The medicine, called CR059, is an injection made with circular RNA wrapped in tiny fat particles. It is based on a hormone that helps control blood sugar. The study will enroll 9 Chinese adults with Type 2 diabetes to receive a single shot and be closely monitored for side effects.
