New scan could sharpen prostate cancer detection

NCT ID NCT07162779

Summary

This study is testing a new imaging agent called [68Ga]DOTA-IR-780-C-4 to see if it can help doctors better see prostate cancer tumors and where they have spread. It is for men with a specific type of advanced prostate cancer that has stopped responding to standard hormone treatments. The agent is injected before a PET scan and is designed to stick to prostate cancer cells, making them light up more clearly on the images.
