New vaccine aims to boost protection against pneumonia in older adults

Summary
This study is testing a new vaccine called VAX-31 to see if it is safe and how well it boosts the immune system against bacteria that cause pneumonia and other serious infections. It will involve 720 healthy adults aged 50 and older who have already received a standard pneumonia vaccine at least a year ago. Researchers will compare the new vaccine to an existing one to see if it provides a stronger or longer-lasting immune response.
