New scan could sharpen picture of rare brain tumors

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan to see if it can better detect and visualize a rare brain tumor called craniopharyngioma. Researchers will give 20 patients scheduled for surgery a special tracer before their standard MRI scan. The goal is to see if this new scan provides clearer information about the tumor that could help guide treatment.
