Stick-On patch could replace finger pricks for diabetes monitoring

NCT ID NCT06977633

First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a new patch with tiny needles that measures both ketones and glucose continuously in people with type 1 diabetes. Ten participants will wear the patch on their arm while their insulin pump is paused for 3 hours. The goal is to see if the patch readings match standard blood tests, which could lead to easier, needle-free monitoring.
