Summary
This study tested a newly designed ostomy baseplate to see if it could better protect the skin around a stoma (ileostomy). It involved 13 adults who had experienced recent skin irritation, itching, or pain in that area. The main goal was to see if the new device reduced maximum itching compared to their usual baseplate over a few hours.
