First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests two different doses of an experimental oral drug, LXE408, against a standard treatment (miltefosine) for localized cutaneous leishmaniasis, a parasitic skin infection. About 250 adults with up to six skin sores will receive one of the treatments for several weeks. The main goal is to see if the sores fully heal and stay healed for six months without needing more therapy.
