Tiny implant offers new hope for women struggling with bladder control

NCT ID NCT06885931

Summary

This study is testing the safety and feasibility of a small, implanted nerve stimulator for women with mixed urinary incontinence (leakage from both stress and urgency) and chronic pelvic pain. The device, called Picostim II, is placed near a nerve in the pelvis and is designed to be personalized and adaptive to each person's needs. The main goal is to see if it's safe and can help reduce symptoms for people who haven't gotten better with standard treatments like medication or physical therapy.
