New approach tested for 'Suicide Disease' facial pain

Summary
This study is testing two different ways of using pulsed radiofrequency energy to treat severe facial nerve pain (trigeminal neuralgia). Researchers will compare a newer, more evenly distributed energy pattern against the standard method to see which works better and is safer. The trial will involve 62 adults whose pain isn't well controlled by medications.
