New catheter design aims to stop pain relief from slipping

NCT ID NCT07385872

Summary

This study is testing a new type of pain-relief catheter to see if it stays in place better than current options. Doctors will place the thin tube near a nerve in the leg of 15 patients who are already scheduled for a leg amputation. They will check if the catheter moves over several days and how easy it is to use, with all testing done on tissue that will be removed during surgery to minimize risk.
