New hope for chemo patients battling severe nausea

NCT ID NCT07246070

Summary

This study is testing a new drug called nanocrystalline megestrol acetate to see if it can prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy. It will involve 127 adults with stomach cancer who are about to start their first round of a specific chemotherapy treatment. The goal is to see if this new drug works better than a standard steroid when both are given with a common anti-nausea medication.
