Shine a light, skip the surgery? new device aims to transform nasal polyp diagnosis

NCT ID NCT07125586

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-invasive device that uses safe light to instantly identify a hard-to-treat type of nasal polyp. Currently, diagnosing this type requires a tissue sample taken during surgery, which can delay treatment. The goal is to see if this quick, in-office test is accurate enough to help doctors choose better treatments and potentially avoid unnecessary surgeries for patients.
