New glasses aim to halt Kids' worsening eyesight

NCT ID NCT07462897

Summary

This study is testing whether a new version of a special eyeglass lens can slow the progression of nearsightedness in children better than an older version. Children aged 6 to 14 will wear one lens type in one eye and the other type in the other eye, switching halfway through the year-long study. Researchers will measure changes in eye length to see which lens works better at controlling myopia.
