First human tests for mRNA flu shot begin

NCT ID NCT05829356

Summary

This early-stage study tested the safety and immune response of a new mRNA flu vaccine in healthy adults. Researchers gave 159 participants one of several different doses of the experimental vaccine or a standard flu shot to compare. The main goal was to see if the new vaccine was safe and if it caused the body to produce protective antibodies against the flu.
