New MRI scanner could solve brain tumor mystery
NCT ID NCT07443176
First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests a new type of MRI scanner, called Field-Cycling Imaging (FCI), to see if it can tell the difference between actual tumor growth and harmless changes that look like tumors (pseudo-progression) in people with glioblastoma. About 18 adults will get both a standard MRI and the new FCI scan before, during, and after chemotherapy. The goal is to improve how doctors decide if the tumor is growing or not, without any direct treatment benefit for participants.
