Revolutionary brain scanner could prevent unnecessary cancer treatments

NCT ID NCT07443176

Summary

This study is testing whether a new type of MRI scanner can better tell the difference between actual brain tumor growth and harmless inflammation that looks similar. Eighteen adults with glioblastoma will receive both standard MRI scans and the new scanner's imaging three times during their treatment. The goal is to help doctors make more accurate decisions about whether treatment is working or if changes are just temporary side effects.
