Researchers aim to map shoulder pain for better treatment decisions

NCT ID NCT07409818

Summary

This study aims to create a new, practical classification system for shoulder calcific tendinitis based on where calcium deposits are located on an MRI scan. Researchers will review the medical records and MRI scans of 400 patients to group them into five categories based on deposit location. The goal is to see if this new classification can help doctors better match patients with the right treatment, whether it's surgery or non-surgical options.
