New injection combo aims to loosen stiff mouths
NCT ID NCT07277998
Summary
This study tests whether alternating two types of injections into the mouth lining works better than the standard single injection for oral submucous fibrosis. The condition causes stiff mouth tissues, limited mouth opening, and a burning sensation. Researchers will compare a steroid injection alone against a schedule alternating the steroid with platelet-rich plasma, which contains healing factors from the patient's own blood.
