Summary
This study tested a new surgical mesh design for repairing groin hernias. The goal was to see if this specific mesh, placed in a certain way and covered with a protective layer, could reduce long-term pain and prevent the hernia from returning. It involved 100 adult men with a first-time groin hernia.
