Summary

This study tested a new investigational vaccine designed to protect against four major strains of meningococcal disease (A, C, W, Y) in young children. It involved 707 healthy toddlers aged 12 to 23 months and directly compared the new vaccine's safety and ability to trigger a protective immune response against two already approved vaccines. The main goal was to show the new vaccine works at least as well as, or even better than, the existing options.
