Breakthrough foods fight child starvation, aim to stop kids from getting sick again
NCT ID NCT06912620
Summary
This study is testing new, cheaper recipes for special therapeutic food used to treat dangerously underweight children. It aims to see if these new foods, made without expensive peanuts and dairy, work as well as the current standard food and are better at preventing children from becoming malnourished again after they recover. The trial will involve 2160 children aged 6-59 months with moderate or severe malnutrition in Burkina Faso.
