Scientists test 'Breathable' MRI to spot hidden lung damage

NCT ID NCT06012500

Summary

This study aims to create a better, standardized way to use a special type of MRI scan to see how interstitial lung disease (ILD) changes over time or responds to treatment. Participants will breathe in a safe, non-radioactive gas (xenon) during the scan, which helps create a detailed 3D picture of how well their lungs are working. The goal is to make this advanced imaging technique reliable and consistent across different hospitals so it can be used in future research and patient care.
