New hope for tough lung cancers: trial tests 'Smart Bomb' drugs

Summary

This study is testing new targeted drugs called antibody-drug conjugates for people with advanced squamous non-small cell lung cancer that has spread and stopped responding to standard treatments. The trial will enroll 144 participants to compare these new drugs against standard chemotherapy, measuring how well the cancer responds and how safe the treatments are. The goal is to find better options for controlling this difficult-to-treat cancer.
