New 'Sandwich' treatment aims to shrink tumors faster, protect lungs

NCT ID NCT07418866

Summary

This study is testing a new combination of radiation and drug therapy for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Researchers want to see if a new 'high-low' radiation dose strategy, given after two cycles of chemotherapy and immunotherapy drugs, can shrink tumors more effectively while reducing the risk of lung damage. The goal is to better control the disease in 70 participants who have not had prior chest radiation.
