New combo therapy aims to shrink advanced lung cancer and enable surgery

Summary

This study tests a new approach for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to lymph nodes on the opposite side of the chest. Participants will receive targeted radiation, immunotherapy, and chemotherapy before surgery to see if the cancer can be reduced enough to allow complete removal. The goal is to improve outcomes for patients with this hard-to-treat stage of lung cancer.
