New test could spot hidden cancer spread in lung surgery patients

NCT ID NCT07301983

Summary

This study is testing a new lab technique called OSNA to see if it's better at finding tiny amounts of cancer cells in lymph nodes removed during robotic lung cancer surgery. It will compare the new method to the standard way of checking lymph nodes under a microscope. The goal is to see if the new test gives doctors more accurate information about the cancer's stage, which could help guide future treatment decisions.
