New hope for tough lung cancer cases: trial targets brain tumors after standard drugs fail

NCT ID NCT07343479

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a new drug called sac-TMT to a standard lung cancer pill, with or without brain radiation, can help control cancer that has spread to the brain after other similar pills have stopped working. It will involve about 45 adults with a specific type of advanced lung cancer (non-squamous NSCLC with an EGFR mutation). The main goal is to see if this combination can keep the cancer from getting worse for at least six months and to check how safe it is.
