Light beam attack on tough pancreatic tumors shows early promise

Summary
This early-stage trial tests a new treatment for people with advanced pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. The therapy uses a light-sensitive drug and a special light delivered through a thin tube to blood vessels feeding the tumor, aiming to destroy cancer cells. About 30 adults will take part to see if the treatment is safe and if it can shrink tumors enough to allow surgery later.
