Laser beam could spot hidden heart risk without touch
NCT ID NCT03446430
Summary
This study tested a new, non-contact laser device to measure artery stiffness, a key sign of heart disease risk, in people with high blood pressure. It compared the new laser method to older, more uncomfortable techniques. The goal was to see if the laser could be a simpler, more comfortable way for doctors to check heart health during routine visits.
