New sensor could offer continuous labor monitoring

NCT ID NCT07432282

Summary

This study is testing a new sensor system designed to monitor a baby's heart rate and the mother's contractions during the early stage of labor induction. The sensor is attached to a standard balloon catheter used to help prepare the cervix for birth. Researchers want to see if the sensor is safe, works well, and is comfortable for up to 120 pregnant participants.
