Experimental pill aims to protect kidneys from diabetes damage

NCT ID NCT06600412

Summary

This study is testing whether a new oral drug called R3R01 can help protect the kidneys in adults with type 2 diabetes. Researchers want to see if taking the drug for 3 months reduces the amount of protein leaking into the urine, which is a sign of kidney damage. The study will involve 60 participants, where 40 will receive R3R01 and 20 will receive a placebo pill for comparison.
