New scan seeks to light up hidden kidney cancer
NCT ID NCT06840548
Summary
This early-stage study tested a new imaging agent called 68Ga-OncoCAIX, designed to help doctors better see clear cell kidney cancer on PET/CT scans. The trial involved 20 patients with suspected kidney cancer to check if the tracer was safe and to measure how much radiation it delivered to the body. The goal was to gather information to see if this new tracer could improve cancer detection compared to standard imaging.
