Breath test could offer early warning for newborn jaundice

NCT ID NCT07346976

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-invasive breath test to see if it can reliably predict which healthy, full-term newborns are at risk for developing jaundice. Researchers will measure a gas in the baby's breath during the first three days after birth. The goal is to see if this test can help doctors identify and manage jaundice earlier and more easily.
