First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to prevent the body from rejecting a new kidney. Instead of standard long-term drugs, patients received two antibody infusions right after transplant, followed by just one maintenance drug. The goal was to see if this simpler approach could keep the kidney working well with fewer side effects. The study included 20 first-time kidney transplant recipients.
