New light in surgery aims to slash stomach cancer risks

NCT ID NCT07401303

Summary

This study is testing if using a special camera light called Red Dichromatic Imaging (RDI) during a precise stomach cancer surgery makes the procedure safer and quicker. It will compare the new light to the standard method in 640 patients with early-stage stomach cancer or pre-cancerous growths. The main goal is to see if the new light reduces serious bleeding or perforation during surgery and helps surgeons finish on time.
