Microscope breakthrough could speed up prostate cancer diagnosis

NCT ID NCT02394223

Summary

This study tested a new microscope imaging technique called FFOCT to see if it could help doctors detect prostate cancer in biopsy samples. The goal was to see if this new method could work as well as the standard lab analysis, potentially giving results faster. The study involved 91 men with elevated PSA levels who were already scheduled for a prostate biopsy.
