New drug could replace chemo for some breast cancer patients

Summary

This study tests a new drug called SHR-A1811 against a standard chemotherapy combination for people with early-stage or locally advanced HER2-positive breast cancer. About 740 women will receive either the new drug or standard treatment before surgery. The goal is to see if the new drug can eliminate more cancer cells by the time of surgery, with follow-up for at least 3 years to check for cancer return.
