New hope for kids with liver cancer: Hearing-Saving drug added to treatment

Summary

This study tests a new treatment plan for children newly diagnosed with hepatoblastoma, a rare liver cancer. It includes a drug called sodium thiosulfate to protect hearing during chemotherapy and adjusts treatment based on how the cancer responds. About 330 children will take part to see if this approach improves survival and reduces side effects.
