New heart valve device aims to help patients avoid open surgery

NCT ID NCT05804903

Summary

This study is testing the safety and performance of a new device system for replacing a narrowed or failing aortic heart valve. The procedure is minimally invasive, using a catheter inserted through a blood vessel instead of open-heart surgery. Researchers will enroll about 177 patients to see how well the new valve works and track serious health events like stroke or death over one year.
