New scan aims to spot hidden heart disease

NCT ID NCT06788535

Summary

This study is testing a new radioactive dye used in a PET/CT scan to see if it can accurately diagnose cardiac amyloidosis, a condition where abnormal proteins build up in the heart. About 200 adults suspected of having this heart condition will receive one dose of the dye and undergo a scan. The main goal is to see how well the scan can correctly identify who has the disease and who does not, while also checking for safety.
