New heart mapping technique aims to better target dangerous rhythms

NCT ID NCT06937983

Summary

This study is testing a new method to better locate the diseased heart tissue that causes dangerous rapid heart rhythms (ventricular tachycardia) in patients with existing heart disease. During a standard catheter ablation procedure, researchers will use a special mapping technique called DeEP mapping to identify problem areas more precisely before treating them. The goal is to see if this improved targeting leads to fewer dangerous rhythm episodes over the following year.
