Breakthrough dual heart pump offers lifeline for most severe heart failure patients
NCT ID NCT07233876
Summary
This study is testing a new medical device called the DuoCor system, which is designed to help patients with very severe failure of both sides of their heart. The device uses two small pumps to support the heart's function, aiming to keep patients alive longer, improve their ability to walk and do daily activities, and enhance their quality of life while they wait for a transplant or their own heart recovers. It is for adults with advanced heart failure who have run out of other effective treatment options.
