First-in-Human trial for new Stroke-Stopping heart plug

Summary
This is the first human study of an upgraded heart device designed to prevent strokes in people with a common irregular heartbeat called atrial fibrillation. The device is a small plug placed in a pouch of the heart where dangerous blood clots often form. Researchers will test the safety and initial performance of this new version in 10 patients in Hong Kong who are at high risk for stroke.
