Summary

This study tested a new device called the CochSyn test prototype. Its goal was to detect a specific type of early hearing damage, called cochlear synaptopathy, sooner than the standard hearing test. Researchers also explored a related sound-processing tool designed to improve speech understanding for people identified with this condition.
