Can a new hearing implant outperform the old one?
NCT ID NCT07130136
Summary
This study aims to see if a newer hearing implant system (Osia) is safer and works better than an older one (Baha Connect) for adults with certain types of hearing loss. It will enroll 20 adults who already have the older implant but are unhappy with it due to skin issues or other problems. Researchers will test how well participants hear speech in quiet and noisy settings and ask about their satisfaction with the new device.
