Simpler stomach bug treatment could replace four-drug cocktail

NCT ID NCT06977841

Summary

This study tested whether two simpler antibiotic combinations work as well as the current standard four-drug treatment for H. pylori stomach bacteria. Researchers compared two different two-drug combinations in 600 adults who had never been treated for the infection before. The goal was to find treatments that are easier to take with fewer side effects while still effectively eliminating the bacteria.
